Horstman Named Golf Coach At Willamette

After four years playing for the Boxers from 2002-2006, Noah Horstman will now be coaching against his alma mater. Horstman was named Tuesday as the head men's and women's golf coach at rival Willamette University in Salem. Horstman replaces longtime coaches Steve Prothero and Tom Hillyard, who both retired after the 2008-09 season.

Noah was a solid golfer during his time at Pacific, earning All-Northwest Conference honors in 2006 after finishing in the top-five at the NWC Championship tournament. A native of Medford and a graduate of South Medford High School (where he was coached in golf by former Pacific football coach Bill Singler), Horstman also works as the assistant golf professional at Salem's Illahe Hills Golf Course.

It will be fun to see Noah involved in the conference again...even if it is at a rival school. Congrats!
